15 Winckley Square Chambers
15 Winckley Square Chambers was established in 1983 as the first independent set of chambers in Preston and has since provided professional advisory and advocacy services across its core practice areas of family, criminal and civil law. Members act for professional and lay clients and regularly appear in courts at all levels, including the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Crown Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Chambers is recognised for high standards of client care and compliance with professional conduct and practice management requirements. Its barristers are supported by an experienced clerking team with extensive knowledge of chambers’ work, and the set has been awarded Quality Mark status by the Legal Services Commission. Several former members have been appointed to judicial office, and current members continue to hold part-time judicial roles. Chambers also maintains a commitment to continuing education and training through accredited lectures and seminars for both members and professional clients. All barristers practise as independent practitioners and are regulated by the Bar Standards Board, with professional liability insurance provided through the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund.
